Corporate logic around here too. We need to use IT to make our company more cost effective. And we have lain off a lot of IT people. Our systems now run "dark" starting Friday night to Monday morning. Nobody on site at all. We do have a monitor which sends SNMP traps to a server which generates service desk tickets for some events. And those result in SMS messages to the on call person. But if a job hangs on a WTOR, nobody is here to reply to it. The production control people do logon at times just to keep an eye on things. And if the monitoring server goes down, we don't know it. -- John McKown Systems Engineer IV IT Administrative Services Group HealthMarkets(r) 9151 Boulevard 26 * N.
