I was very lucky to work with him briefly to add a small feature to xmitip. It
was a joy. I was saddened by his demise. And I tool will miss him.

He has a Yahoo group called xmitip. I haven't seen any posts there since 30.8,
perhaps it is just quiet. I wanted to say, though, that his last post there
was 13.8.

Gilbert was a real gentleman. Very sad news indeed, and although I never met
him (despite being in Florida), I spoke to him a couple of times. I can only
add my condolences to his family along with the other commentators here.
Gilbert's advice and guidance on VSE to MVS conversions was legendary.

I would please ask Mr Gilmore to continue to pass on our comments to his
family, as I'm sure he will.

Qu'il repose en paix.

Gilbert was a fine fellow. It was a pleasure to work with him as a peer ho
shared his time and energies freely in some of his tools.
e took pride in his work shared as free tools. He seemed to enjoy oding and
debugging issued reported to him something I think only our articular
fellowship can appreciate. As a vendor he provided some imple solutions at a
modest price and was just as pleasant to work
ith. He will be missed.
Peace,
