Mmmm - that recommendation would have been from the days when we all had
expanded. You really wouldn't want to try and sustain that rate to round
brown spinning stuff.
It's good these days, but as Hal said, it's slooooooooowwwww.
Zero is a good target.

As usual it's horses for courses - some environments can cope with paging.
But normally it'd better not be your (production) onlines.

As for having too much storage - how do you know how much will be enough
till you reduce it ???.
I like the idea of page-fixing some storage, and see how things perform.
Gives you some confidence before actually doing the deed for real.
When you can get an outage, maybe would be worthwhile defining some
reconfig to get you out of a hole in need.
