I like what one publisher of epubs has done. I order a book from them. I get a 
URL to download a PDF. There is no DRM on the PDF. But my name is on the footer 
of every page. Yes, I know how to erase it, if I really wanted to. For 
software, I think some sort of header with a "whistleblower" address might be 
interesting. Nothing like a disgrunted employee to "stick to the company" if 
they can.
