Like Gary, I also heavily use report groups. If memory serves, SDSF ENC support appeared at z/OS 1.2, and so is unavailable to Terry. As of 1.4 it's still severely limited.
Everything I've seen posted in this thread has been true for *independent* enclaves - dependant enclaves, whilst rare can be much harder to handle. They basically ignore your (DDF) classification rules.
