Hi Mark,

You might also consider to join the tm-discuss list and posting this
question there. I know there are some folks who hang out there that
don't monitor IBM-MAIN because of the volume. The form to join is in
the customer center on the MVS Solutions web site.

The ThruPut Manager discussion list is a restricted e-mail list
available only to registered ThruPut Manager customers and MVS Solutions
staff. It is intended to give customers a simple way to communicate
with other customers about their use of ThruPut Manager. For example,
you might ask what changes people made to their procedures and their JAL
when they implemented VTS drives. All replies go automatically to the
list so the information can be shared by all members.

Subject: Spreading Batch Work Across LPARS

We have two lpars that perform the vast majority of our batch work. CA7
runs on one of these lpars and most of the CA7 submitted jobs are picked
up by the
JES2 on that system. This leaves the other system almost empty of batch
work while the first system is being over loaded.

What are some of our options to spread the workload across both systems
on an equal basis.

zOS 1.4. JES2 managed batch. Thruput manager is available.

Thanks.
