Yes-symbolics are supported. Have been using it this way since OS/390
2.10 with a combination of CKPT1 using a CF Structure and CKPT2 being on
DASD.
CKPTDEF CKPT1=(STRNAME=JES2_MVSS_CKPT,
CKPT2=(DSNAME=SYS1.&SYSNAME..HASPCKP2,
.
