604 was a tube-filled 5-foot-tall 6-foot-long 3-foot-wide frame of tubes 
called a calculating punch.  Had about 16 "programming steps".  We had one 
and I never saw it used.  I suspect it was replaced by the 650.

403 was likely a tab like the 407.  IBM had a thing for number sequences. 
Wonder if it also sounded like a 407 -- a cross between a washing machine 
in distress and a robot having an orgazm (nanny prevention misspelling).

519 must have been the summary punch attached to the 40x.  Could also be 
wired to copy a card deck.

While were on this off-topic, can anyone tell what were the machines that 
were used for the Manhattan Project (and described by Richard Feynmann in 
one of his autobiographies -- my ex-father-in-law worked on it, not me)? 
They sounded like 40x-519 combo.
