Not necessarily true.   If the Hipersockets connections are part of the
routable network - e.g., if some of the TCP/IP stacks can be reached
only by these Hipersockets connections - the Hipersockets IP addrs
or subnets will need to be advertised to the rest of the (local) IP
network.  

It certainly makes sense for private IP addrs to be used for the
Hipersockets connections, but use of these addrs very definitely 
should be coordinated with Network folks.   They may not care, or 
they may care very much!
