The problem with that is few laptops will last an entire day without being re-charged (I know that my machine is only good for a little more then an hour). And many of the rooms (especially the larger ones) only have a couple of outlets way in the back. So, if they want to go green they are going to have lots of power strips laying all around to trip over.
My company at least is happy enough when I can make a presentation that they don't mind the cost of printing and shipping my handouts. Nope, I like paper sessions that I can take notes on; and I like to handout paper as well.
