I never used to have that problem with a mod-5, but I too have it with the
mega-screen (tm).   But I use vista tn3270 (a "world class" emulator) and 
I have ALT+F set to "locate cursor" along with my locate cursor option
set to "explode".   I don't use it very often, but it does come in handy.  
Especially on Monday mornings or a late night out.  :-)
