I'd be curious what model of the mainframe they had. As someone else posted, if they were a couple generations behind the z10, they could have gotten a huge savings by upgrading. If they were on a z9, then maybe they really are saving a lot of money by going to AIX servers. It would be interesting to be able to see the financials, however we probably never will.
