That was our experience too. We have to run with ALL31(OFF). We have lots of very old Assembler, OS/VS COBOL, COBOL II, etc. Mission critical stuff and nobody and no budget to upgrade it. We tested with ALL31(ON) and the programs started out fine, the old Assembler ran fine, but it could not return, so the processes failed.
