All,
Thanks for you input, but I must have been vague about my orginal post.
I do understand that if you have a steplib or joblib if you have one
library in the concatenation that is not apf'd then none of them are, I
get that. I found that out when I started doing systems 15 years ago.
What I was trying to get the apps people to do was get the DSNUTILB from
the linklst, e.g. not use a steplib. I thought since DSNUTILB was in the
linklst and there was no steplib the module would be used from the
linklst (as it was), but failed with an apf authorization failure. The
joblib only contains apps libraries. DSNUTILB does work if I put a
steplib in with SDSNLOAD lib.
As for the PPT entry, I used the entry supplied with DB2 by IBM
(installed 5 years ago, but not by me), so I am not sure how this could
be wrong. Our normal policy is the apps people use the systems
programmer supplied proc DSNUTILB (steplib added at no charge), which
they did not.
I put the PPT entry in for grins.
PPT PGMNAME(DSNUTILB)
CANCEL /* CAN BE CANCELED */
KEY(7) /* STORAGE PROTECT KEY */
SWAP /* CAN BE SWAPPED */
NOPRIV /* NOT PRIVILEGED */
DSI /* REQUIRES DATA SET INTEGRITY */
PASS /* USE DATASET PASSWORD PROTECTION */
NOSYST /* PROGRAM IS A SYSTEM TASK */
AFF(NONE) /* NO CPU AFFINITY */
Thanks,
Fletch
