Hopefully you get what storage you need contiguous or it's not just an IPL
anymore......I got bit by this just last week.

Thanks to all that replied. I'll only reply to this answer to avoid
cluttering up the list. I suspected that I probably couldn't add any
storage to this Lpar without at least an IPL. Both of LP01 and LP02 have 2 GB
defined for real storage, and 1GB in reserve. I believe the 1GB in reserve gets
varied online just after the IPL, as both systems show 3072 MB in storage after
a D M=STOR command.

I did find out that HSA is 128M, and with LP03 & LP04 being at 512M, I
should have 896M available to add to LP02, which is our DB2 Lpar. I'm not
sure if I can add that amount or not - I'll have to figure out what the
increment size is. I'm sure we could easily remove 1 GB from LP01. It runs
normally around 5-10% busy, unless I'm running SMP stuff or someone else is
running batch. It also has zero paging, and no DB2. The transaction volumes
are falling on that Lpar, and it will be phased out in the near future.

Thanks for the quick replies.
