Correct. However, from what I've read, the iSeries really is a pSeries
hardware-wise, but with another layer of firmware on top called the TIMI
(Technology Independent Machine Interface). I can't find much out about
TIMI. It almost sounds something like a Java JVM. IBM could possibly
implement TIMI on any underlying architecture and the iSeries software
would still work the same.
