You can use the jar command -- provided with the no charge IBM SDK for z/OS, Java Technology Edition -- to create Zip files. For example:?
jar cf myarchive.zip file1.seq file2.seq file3.seq I think this works: jar -? for producing a list of options. You can try these commands from the OMVS environment or from direct "terminal" connection to z/OS UNIX System Services. You may need to specify the path to the jar command, depending on how your path environment is set up. - - - - - Timothy Sipples IBM Consulting Enterprise Software Architect Based in Tokyo, Serving IBM Japan / Asia-Pacific E-Mail: timothy.sipp...@us.ibm.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@bama.ua.edu with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
