I believe that zOS V2R2 is the last OS that will support SMTP. Starting 
with zOS V2R3, CSSMTP is required.

Nope and I don't know. I Googled <z/os smtp lifecycle> and <z/os smtp eos> and 
got no hits. Do you know?
