Wish it were that simple. I change the suffix manually otherwise
it would not be unique. The cycle numbers are the same from one
week to the next. So for the output file that I get, I need it to
be unique so I suffix it with a letter. I've not gotten beyond
"H" so far.

How are you changing the suffix ? Manually or a Rexx/CLIST/SORT ? I am
guessing that the change affected the jobname and hence the JCL error.
