1) As pointed out, Softcopy Library (SCL) can handle PDFS 2) As for "indexing" all the "base" zOS elements, many of the zVSE, and zVM will have "indexed" PDFs and an associated extended (XKS) shelf. We have instituted a "request" to other non-base products to consider PDF indexing; but that is a product-by-product (rather then platform) decision.
Actually, it's now easier to dowload just a product at a time as the XKS shelves are parts of "pkits" that all have "order numbers".
