Thanks to all that responded.
 
I did find a deffination error.. I had the ICC consoles defined as 'operator' it looks like they should be 'TN3270E' for everything other than z/OS MCS I'll have to fix that. Then if it happens again I will deffinatly open a PMR, but for now it just might be my error.

VSE consoles.  We no longer use the ICC sessions for them.  Apparently the VM consoles did not suffer.

I believe several people at the last WAVV mentioned having the same problem.  I think they said that if they varied the

CHIPD  offline and then online again that the consoles could recover.
