Thanks for the replies - I will try and debug the situation with the info.

BTW - I tried
   NETSTAT TRACEONLY userid ENDTRACEONLY
   NETSTAT OBEY MORETRACE IUCV SOCKET
but still did not get any info displayed in the TCPIP console. Is this a
problem?
