It doesn't take a special compiler. "REXXC fileid (NOSLINE NOTRACE" is used in a lot of places. We have code that is used by a lot of people who have a habit of cannibalizing EXECs and then calling the originator of the code when their modifications do not work. Compiling with those parameters works quite nicely.
