I think the SE is updated from the HMC. FWIW, we keep the timezone on the
HMC to 0 and let the OS's make the proper adjustment. It makes the twice
yearly time changes a snap.

I believe the LPAR get's it's time from the SE, the internal Laptop in your
box.



You can set the time from the HMC to the SE's if you want, but I believe it
is a manual process.

for us.
