ESALPS appears to have a built-in SNMP client as well (okay, obviously). Perhaps Barton would be willing to break that out and share it?

The CMS OE port of Perl that Neale did ages ago will allow you to use the Net::SNMP package from CPAN. It's not REXX, but it does give you the ability to do SNMP client activities from CMS.
