For SFS files, the only time a zero-length file would exist is if the 
target file did not previously exist.  That is, if CSL DMSEXIFI says "file 
not found".  If you are able to reproduce the problem with the FTP server 
trace active, you'll see "DMSEXIFI" entries in the console log.  You'll 
also see "SFSCreateFile" (DMSCRFIL) entries.  Also of interest will be 
"SOpenFscb" entries.

I would still focus my attentions on the FTP server as the debug point 
before climbing into SFS.
