Richard, Please note that on Fran's site the new corrected version is NOT named "VMFTP". It is "VMFTPUPD", or something similar. The "VMFTP" package has remained unchanged, with old bugs.
The updated package also had the solution for my request of two weeks ago - to be able to specify a translation table on the FTP command itself. This option did not exist in the old version, but Romney wrote me that the new one does have it.
