I can't find it anymore, but I had an exec that I used to copy large numbers
of DASD.
Basically you could define as many "worker" machines as you wanted.
create a file with the dasd addresses and current volsers.
* each machine reads the file.
* If a "from" address was attached to anyone, then that address was already
being copied.
* it has no volser, then it is already copied
* Once you got an address that was ready to copy, search through a range of
new address, if it was attached to someone, then it was already being used.
if it had a volser, then it was already copied.
* copy the disk
* clip the volser on the original.
Rinse and repeat.
