On my VM Download Site ( http://zvm.sru.edu/~download ) I always use
DMSPLU to make the date of the VMARC file be the same as the latest
file it contains.
For those unfamiliar with DMSPLU the syntax is:
DMSPLU fn ft fm mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss
