I am taking an equine nutrition course at the University of Guelph and
am doing a paper on laminitis. I am specifically focusing on laminitis
caused by an overload of pasture. I chose this, because my 2
Icelandics are the first 'ponies' I have ever owned and I am worried
that they are at higher risk than average.

Does anyone have an idea how common is "grass founder" in icelandics?
I gather it is fairly common in Iceland where the climate change is
quite drastic, but what about here? Does anyone use special pasture
management techniques or has this generally not been a problem?
