In Southern gaited horse circles (and maybe more widespread too?) a "camel
walk" is not considered a good thing.  It's a pacey walk, a clue to what
camels do.

But then the common names can be misleading.  I don't think pigs really
pace, do they?  I don't know where the term "piggy pace" came from.  Maybe I
should start calling it "kitty pace" since I have a pacey cat...or maybe I
should name it after her, the "Carmen pace", but then Wanda would fight me
to call it the "Marty pace."
