yeah but the fino is the natural gait of the paso fino.  much ado of
nothing and going nowhere, but something the horse does at liberty
without devices.  Of course in the show ring I'm sure they managed to
1.  breed it out of them and then 2.  put it back in them with better
living thru chemistry and/or pain if not surgery to remove actual body
parts they need to function.  if you go to the paso fino website you
can click on a video of El Chino the famous dancing stallion and you
can see he is just on the end of a lunge line having a blast doing the
fino. but like any gaited horse, they also do the other easy gaits and
some do and some dont and the fino is the main show gait and some dont
do it and like the icelandics in showing, it would be a miserable
trail ride doing those show gaits.  a fino on the trail would be about
as much fun as the flying pace i would think.  anyway.
