Hard to say. My gut tells me that sometimes a "barn sourness" issue may be relevant to the situation of the moment. Is it possible that Dagur is actually "buddy sour" and doesn't want to leave Scooter? If he's at a trainer's barn, and Scooter isn't there, would the training transfer back to his situation back at home? I'm just asking because I certainly don't know... Do you have a trainer in your area who might come help you at your place, with you riding? In a lot of cases, I think that works better than sending a horse off to a trainer, but without knowing your horses, it would be hard to say. What do you think?
