I'm the only admin for icinga, so it's possible to upgrade.

question would be how you installed it, and which operating system is being used for that.

Buuut... I'm specialized on Windows, I'm using just a few Ubuntu/Debian machines. So my experience is not that of a Linux pro.

I already searched for a "Howto Upgrade" 1-2months ago when other versions were released.

I need some help / advices "how to upgrade".

I did that 2 years ago 1 time with nagios, and I remember that I lost my navigation. So what do I have to backup and how to upgrade?

I remember to use "the same" options as the first installation, but.... Is there any chance to get the options I entered..? J

Thanks all for your advices.

Greeting

Sascha

Icinga: 1.2.1

could be this bug https://dev.icinga.org/issues/886 or this one https://dev.icinga.org/issues/1410

i'll be releasing 1.4.2 today, so the question would be if and how you are able to upgrade.

Hi all,

I just remarked that mi icinga server has 0% of swap left.

*Real memory:* 3.93 GB total / 351.32 MB free *Swap space:* 1.42 GB total / 0 bytes free

So i looked at the processes, there are 6 of these

9199 <https://srvmop01:10000/proc/edit_proc.cgi?9199> icinga 59112 kB /usr/local/icinga/bin/icinga -d /usr/local/icinga/etc/icinga.cfg (pid is only one of all)

And *hundreds* of these (don't know how to count)

705 <https://srvmop01:10000/proc/edit_proc.cgi?705> icinga 16680 kB /usr/local/icinga/bin/ido2db -c /usr/local/icinga/etc/ido2db.cfg

Any idea where the problems comes from?

version and possible adapted configs would be very helpful in the first place.

Thanks for your help,

sascha
