Icinga 1.4.2 was just released:
https://www.icinga.org/2011/06/29/icinga-core-classic-ui-idoutils-1-4-2-released/
Have a look at
http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/upgrading.html#upgrading-icinga and the
other update related topics in the documentation. This should be some help
for updating Icinga.
Also, if you're not sure what you're doing, make a copy of the whole Icinga
directory (while Icinga is stopped) and take a MySQL dump ( mysqldump icinga
-u root -p > FILENAME.sql ).
Cheers

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
