The NSHOF STEM lesson outlines for grades 9 and 10 are available online:

West Marine Community Day to Benefit Education Program


The Hillsmere, Annapolis West Marine store has announced West Marine Community 
Day to benefit the NSHOF Learning Math & Science through Sailing Program. The 
STEM program will receive 5% of their gross sales on orders where NSHOF STEM is 
mentioned.

Sailing into Science in Oakland


Lake Merritt Boating Center in Oakland is a unique government facility with a 
commitment from the City to connect the Oakland schools to the programing.

grade program Science into Sailing (SiS) is described by One California 
Resource Directory: "During the regular school year, Oakland teachers schedule 
three full days to spend in the Sailing into Science (SiS) classrooms using 
Lake Merritt as their laboratory. Students and teachers experience rich entry 
points into the worlds of Life Science, Physics, Earth Science, Environmental 
Science and Nautical Science. 

Program instructors guide classes through adventurous education employing a 
comprehensive science curriculum developed in accordance with the California
