Hi Pranav,

I also had the same problem. I have dell studio 1555. I found a
solution which is working for me.

To the end of your "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base" file, add "options snd-
hda-intel model=dell-m6"    (without quotes of course).

and restart. If you have low sound then increase every sound sliders
in sound properties.
