I didn't expect that. You have an Athlon 2.8GHz and I have an Intel Core2duo 2GHz. I thought your would be faster. But you're also running this in Linux, and I use MacOS. (though I think MacOS is actually a little slower than Linux on the same hardware.)

For compiling ikarus, yours is about twice as slow. For glut and gl, yours is more than 10 times as slow. I don't know how to explain the difference. Aziz,,,
