A while back, I had already experienced the issue that Michele is documenting in PLT, (think) that I understood it, and have worked past it. Seeing it come up here, taught be about other options. I haven't run into a case myself where using the former made my life better than had I used the latter; but then again in the grand scheme of things I'm not a hardcore macro writer.
