I think this is a good model. If someone says they can't be bothered reviewing and merging patches, maybe they shouldn't be maintaining a popular package. :-D Of course, a certain level of trust develops. So for example, if Aziz asks me to pull in a patch to one of my repos, I'm probably gonna merge it blindfolded.
