looks like lots of cross posting. it started off with some thing and
look , ended in completely different thing. and no result.

there are lot of good and bad things about various destop environments in use
I user gnome. I like most of it. some parts i would like to be more
user friendly

these are but so small compared to the advantage that i am having.
no more virus(there cud be in future), absolute freedom.
I found more oss  , than s/w for windows.
there are many more. for want of time , i am limiting this to here
