I havent encountered any problem with 9.10 fresh installation. Im using Linux Mint 8 RC, it has many small small scripts and gui tools which a windows user will look for when migrated to, also from Mint 7 they have given the DE a vista theme feel and Mint menu will make them looks familiar too.
