You can use vim as an IDE that smart UNIX people want. Not some Windows ordinary souls wanting hand holding all along the way. You can: :make You can :cn for going to the next error, warning and so on. Vim , make and UNIX shell make it an ideal IDE. Vim's syntax highlighting, editing capabilities, quick productivity improvements you can have with 3 years of learning all make it the world's best editor. However all this is beyond the pale of beginners and people used to graphical UIs that squeeze our one's brains and independence. -Girish -- Gayatri Hitech http://gayatri-hitech.com _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
