direct experience: 1. gimp - as good as photoshop. learning curve a little steep, but once mastered acceptable to a professional 2. blender - learning curve very steep - say 6 months of hard work. But professional quality 3. inkscape - comparing inkscape to corel draw or adobe illustrator is like comparing a cycle rickshaw to a jet fighter. No professional will touch it - to be avoided 4. scribus - same as above re comparison the pagemaker or quark express I dont have personal experience with any other multimedia tools -- regards Kenneth Gonsalves Associate, NRC-FOSS [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://nrcfosshelpline.in/web/ _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
