But there is only USB out. Yes garmins are best and my Garmin unit works but are expensive. Plus they do not have any data logging product. When I connect the /dev/USB0 through cutecom / minicom I can receive the current logging just fine almost automatically. But as i said I need to retrieve the data that has been logged when the device was not connected - that is primary purpose of the device.. @KG: Yep not many 9/25 pin serials you see now. Virtually everything is usb and it works.
