“We have also
reduced licence cost for the world’s largest distributed deployment on
thousands of CPU cores. We used OSS like Apache Hadoop, Hive,
ZooKeeper, MySQL, Tomcat, Spring and Mule. So far, 60 million
enrollments have been made in 18 months, and about 1 petabyte of data
processed and archived.” The continued success of Aadhaar can promote
the use of OSS in e-governance for large and complex systems,
Balasubramanian added.

What about the OS and the rest? Microsoft's Windows? The cost saved was handed over Microsoft? Infosys' mentor? BTW, Microsoft was a sponsor of the event as well.
