Hey, Kids...
Hmmm. It's been rather quiet on the list serve lately. Everyone feverishly
waiting for the new album? Or perhaps working for a peace that is far from
certain. For what it's worth, I sent an email to our Commander-in-Thief
requesting that he reconsider his upcoming military adventure. (Yes, I was
more diplomatic than that, and I brought up rational concerns.) I received a
nice form e-letter from the White House.
Unfortunately, I had to work this weekend while protests were going on in
Seattle and elsewhere. Perhaps the PEOPLE have woken up the 'leaders'. In
any case, the struggle for peace abroad and at home will continue for a
long, long time.
In the good news department, I struck a small vein of gold and wish to share
the wealth with you, the true blue of IM appreciators. You see, our radio
station had an extra promo copy of "The Lakes of Canada" EP, which I scored.
So, If you are interested, drop me a line. Should we make this a contest?
It's hard to think of any good trivia questions, but here goes...
The producer of IM's first two albums is Larry Klein. Who is his well-known
ex-wife?
By the way, A&M records seems to have discontinued those first two albums
(although 'Glow' is still available), although I have seen it on Amazon and
some record stores. So as far as I can tell, you should stock up now, unless
some secret remastering project is underway.
Peace, Love, and Understanding
Erik T.
