I have a couple of basic questions about installing OS X onto my Rev A imac.
It currently has 8.6 and the
stock 4gb HD, and 256 mb ram. If I buy an installer cd and install it, which
OS does the computer boot up with?
Is there a control panel or something to select which one starts up? And
then how do you switch to 8.6 if the default
OS is X? Maybe it's a keyboard press at startup?
I've read that a partition isn't necessary for a smaller HD which is good
because I don't know how to do that.
Any other info that seems like it would be appropriate for me to have on
this subject would be appreciated. Does anyone recommend just deleting 8.6?
A lot of people seem to keep an older OS on their hard drive from what I've
read on the list.
Thanks, George (NickUtah)
