The limiting factor in CD burning is the drive, not the media. There's almost always faster media than there are drives. <http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n88297> the specs state: > CD-RW drive (writes CD-R discs at 24x speed, > writes CD-RW discs at 10x speed, reads CDs at > 32x speed) > DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo drive (reads DVDs at > 8x speed, writes CD-R discs at 12x speed, writes > CD-RW discs at 8x speed, reads CDs at 32x speed) So... if you have the Combo Drive, you're only ever going to burn at 12X.
