I have an Indigo slot loading iMac with a CD-ROM drive running OS X 10.1.5. I have seen Apple DVD drives for slot loading iMacs for a good price and I am considering replacing the CD-ROM drive with one of these. I have a few questions;
If I install this drive will OS X recognize the fact that I have a DVD drive or do I have to add software or a driver? Would I be able to watch movies on the iMac after installing it? Do I need to add software to do that or is it built in to OS X? Do the movies appear full screen or just in a little box on the screen? Are movies displayed in the aspect ratio of the iMac's screen or in the "wide" format? TIA take care, Kevin Avery -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
